Vertical Farming

Working in collaboration with Green Waterhuts and the University of Energy and Natural Resources ‘Hydroconomy’ aimed to maximise opportunities for rural farming communities in Ghana to establish sustainable livelihoods.

It used integrated hydroponic food growing systems to enable small scale farmers to maximise yields close to home using a fraction of water traditionally required, whilst drawing multiple benefits from the renewable energy generated by the units.

The GrowShelf

Our prototype hydroponic GrowShelf created an opportunity for farmers to grow and sell food close to home.
